Just blowen away. What great work you do, with such imagamation.
I too have just started in on this O-14 narrow gauge stuff, I have ordered a loc, some rolling stock but still planing the layout which will be as L shaped.
Dear Nikki,
Kindly keep me updated for I remember the buildings done in Coaching Days & Coachings ways [Tristram] which I let wonder away 40 yrs ago!
Your Creation and offerings are most encouraging to build again!……….Paul [vicon90]
Hi Nikki,
since I´m off for work for about 10 days due to a shoulder surgery and will be off for at least another 3 weeks, I´m very curious what happens next on the wharf…
Thank you for the very interesting blog of “becoming a layout”.
Kind regards out of Bavaria,
Thomas.
P.S.: Hope to be recovered soon, because my layout is waiting also…
Daniel tipped me about your site, must agree, it is GREAT !!
to follow your build from early moments to now when the landscape are starting to come alive, is amazing. It is not only very nice to read and look at, it is also very good for my own modelling, I get a real boost from your work. Thanks.
Great pictures of the beautifully restored Type 27A Mk III Wickham Trolley (Works No. 6936). I hear it looks as good as the day it left the Wickham Factory (13 April 1955).
If you or anyone else is interested there are others available for sale. All in need of similar TLC which 6936 received.
Cheers

I have only recently found this blog and have been fascinated by the very high quality of the modeling on this layout. Please, please, please can you expand further on where you have got with the layout – the blog ends quite suddenly and I feel left up in the air.
I have only recently become involved with O narrow gauge and will probably cheat by working with nominal On30, as the Corris was close to 16.5mm gauge. And I will probably cheat further by using the A1 etches for generic diesel locos.
This lead me on to ask whether you have made any resin casts of stone building walls for ground level and rendered wattle and daub for upper levels.
Your detailed advice on painting is so useful as I haven’t got good colour vision and so can see the effects without necessarily seeing the shades very well.
